Welcome To Dave's World
Well, now to put some real info on this page to let you all know what I am up too.  This is a great way to keep the family informed about all the crazy things we are doing in our lives.  I am still the Director of the Professional Truck Driving program here at the Southwest Applied Technology College, I have three other people working under me.  It is a small program and I do not see it growing for a while.  I am really busy with all of the day to day workings of the program as well as teaching a new class every six weeks.  I stay so busy that time has to remind me when the day is over...anyway it is a real challenge working with the general public and trying to teach something as technical as this in a way that those enrolled can learn it.  Every class has a theme or difference about it.  No two classes are ever the same.

The family is all doing really well but I will let them tell you all about it on their pages.  I am actively engaged in making life better in our home as all of you are.  i don't have allot of time to myself, but when I do I find a good book is the best medicine than TV or anything else.  You should try it....LOL  I am working hard to bring my weight down so I can live longer and healthier.

We took a little family vacation down to vegas last week because of a truck show I had to go to.  The family all went to it and had a blast.  they all came away from it with gifts and stuff that they gave out.  We spent some time with Deb's brother Quinn while down there and had a good time.  We may be coming up north to Utah county in July as Michael is playing in a soccer tournament.

My newest passion and desire is to go to Athens, Greece in the summer of 2004.  After having such a great experience in the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, I was told that Greece is looking for a lot of transportation volunteers.  So I went on line about a month ago and applied as a transportation Driver.  I received a few days ago a e-mail from the 2004 Summer games people and they said they were excited to have me apply and they would be in touch.  Well it looks like I am going to Athens, Greece!  Cool Huh?  Now the biggest challenge is earning and saving what it will take me to go.  They told me that if I can get over there, they will house me and feed me one meal a day.  I can handle that.  I checked the airlines to get an estimate o how much it will cost me to fly over and it's right around $1,100.00.  It will be so cool to be at the Olympics where it all began and also to be a part of one of the greatest experiences a person could ever have...

Well better run for now, but I love this family of ours and this is a great time we live in.  Keep the faith and Pray for God to watch over us all.  Love ya!    Dave
